Across campus, spaces can accommodate 50 to 2,000 guests in our social, educational and collegiate sports facilities. We can reserve space for you at many locations on campus and manage your event from start to finish so you do not have to worry.
Originally a Masonic Temple and designed by renowned architect Benno Janssen, the limestone-clad building was constructed in 1914-15 and acquired by Pitt in 1993. It is a Pittsburgh History and Landmarks Foundation Historic Landmark and part of the Oakland Civic Center Historic District.
The event spaces in Alumni Hall are currently undergoing renovations. Please check back for new photos in Fall 2024!

The Frick Fine Arts Building is home to the Studio Art and History of Art and Architecture Departments. The interior was modeled after a Roman villa and contains several classrooms, an auditorium, art galleries, the cloister area, and a fine art library. The large auditorium contains a stage with auditorium seating and can host conferences, large lectures, or presentations. The Frick Fine Arts Cloisters is located on the first floor and serves as the more public space in the building. There is a small vestibule just outside the Cloister. The Cloister features a gallery, as well as large glass panes in the center of the room that provide a view to the outdoor garden. This unique space is ideal for receptions.
The beautiful Cathedral of Learning is home to our beautifully appointed Nationality Rooms. These are special classrooms located on the first and third floors of the Cathedral that represent the culture of various ethnic groups that settled in Allegheny County. The first 19 rooms encircling the first floor Commons Room were completed between 1938 and 1957. An additional 12 rooms, some located on the third floor, have been built since 1987. The most amazing aspect of the Nationality Rooms is that our Pitt students have active classes in these rooms, and the rooms provide inspiration to our students, faculty, staff and guests who use them. The Cathedral of Learning also contains two auditoriums.
